Bluff & Bloomers were asked to perform at the TATE modern for 4 days. We were extremely privileged to be included within the TATE program.

The show was deconstructed for experimental purposes and due to a smaller cast. We also wanted to use the set totally mobile at times as this was one of the original ideas behind the show.

Due to the general public we had to tame the performance, all tho the TATE did have a warning out side.

We did a gorilla performance along the Millennium bridge. The general public just did not know what to think of it all. This is where we experimented with the stage set hand held.
Dom Stirgess
Dom Stirgess was a key player and support in the show during these performances. Having performed on the first show at SHUNT he became a strong member of the team with ideas and production.
Jo Bowis
Again Jo headed the direction of the show during the performances to amazement.
Christopher Sims
My self producing and on direction of the show, with the original idea being mine it was great to see the show was much as i had envisioned if a year before.
Christo Squire
Christo produced the sound track for the show and again was a key player in its execution. The sound was integral to the production.
Rosie Jones
Rosie has been at the helm of the show from the beginning of production. As well as designing the set, painting it she has worked together with my self and Jo to bring it to life.
Elizabeth Jee
Elizabeth was at every show we have done. Through thick or thin Jee has made it, and made the show work.
Jeremy Donovan
Jeremy all tho on one or two occasions was running late, he never failed to be on stage just at the correct moment, if not completely made up. A legend!
Sam RobertsTyler Wetheral
Sam and Tyler made the show as they did for the SHUNT gigs and brought a certain class that was lacking!
Ellen Kyriacou
All tho Ellen was doing another show with members of B&B happening on the same days she still managed to arrange costumes and spend one performance with us.

The show was a huge success, and all tho at times we were running around, we were working on a different direction with the show.

With the lack of performers this time we had to work on new material as well as material we have done previously. Surprisingly the concept was just as strong even tho there was more than half the original cast.

Part of the charm and brilliance of the show is the uncertainty of what we will do next. All tho we have a shell and an idea, we purposely bring new direction during each performance to keep it fresh and unpredictable each time.

Parts of the show is literally conceived as we are performing. We as a company have to think of the top of our wigs at the moment of blinking our eyes!

We managed to do 2 performances in the turbine hall.
These were the "Bluff & Bloomers" Operatics society. this was a totally experimental piece again not rehearsed. It is the most odd piece, in the most odd place with the acoustics.

Further shows and performance are being arranged for later in the year, and gorilla performances will be happening in some very public places!

This show has managed to be such a success due to a exceptional talented company and its members. With out them and there totally diverse ideas, commitment and love of anything not of the norm the show still goes on.
